Leah began the NMBLN and established the organization’s original Vision and Mission while creating corresponding Programs and Services including efficient methods of delivery.
Over the past several years she has been recognized as the winner of the US Department of Labor’s Recognition of Excellence for E3 (employers, education, and economic development partnerships) Programs, and the winner of Most Innovative HR Department, Small Size Company by Society of Human Resource Managers of NM. As the Director of the New Mexico Opportunity, LLC (a for-profit subsidiary of the NMBLN) she was recognized as winner of Small Business Administration New Mexico’s 2007 New Mexico Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year. She maintains oversight of all aspects of NMBLN operations, including strategic planning, product development and delivery, financial management, legal compliance, ethical integrity and accountability. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of New Mexico and a Liberal Arts degree from West Virginia University.

Tessah has been the Program Director of the NM Business Leadership Network since June 2005. Her role within the organization includes strategic and fund development planning, communications and marketing, statewide outreach and business community education on disability employment issues, service provider outreach and resource building in addition to logistics and development of the NMBLN’s LLC activities. Much of this work has evolved into facilitation and coalition building across sectors from employers to service providers to streamline processes, reduce redundancies in programmatic planning and implementation, and to share and build on best practices in creating and supporting inclusive workplaces. Tessah has been recognized as a NM Business Weekly’s 40 Under Forty Honoree, 2009, was a Founding Board Member of YesWeCanNewMexico Cooperative for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities in 2007, and served as the Diversity Advisor on the Planning Committee for Governor’s Summit on Economic Development: Energizing the Entrepreneurial Economy, 2007. Tessah holds a Master of Arts degree from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA in Intercultural Relations and a Bachelor’s in Art History from University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

The newest addition to the NMBLN, Victoria joined our team in December of 2009. She has 10+ years working experience with a background in Human Resources and working in a non-profit environment related to disabilities. Victoria supports all aspects of the NMBLN including website management, outreach development and communications, event planning and administration in addition to programmatic presentations to employers and service providers alike. Victoria has swiftly become an instrumental component of our organization’s success. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of New Mexico - Anderson School of Management and an Associates Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico - Valencia Campus.
